n8n orchestration funding boosts automation platform to $2.5B valuation

Automation startup n8n has secured $180 million in Series C funding led by Accel, with participation from NVentures, Meritech, Redpoint, Evantic, and Visionaries Club. The new capital brings its valuation to $2.5 billion and cements n8n’s position as one of Europe’s fastest-growing AI orchestration platforms. Founded in 2019 by CEO Jan Oberhauser, the Germany-based company builds software that unites AI, code, and human input into a single automation layer used by enterprises to deploy intelligent workflows at scale.

Over the past year, n8n recorded 10X revenue growth and a 6X increase in users, reaching 3,000 enterprise clients that include SoftBank and Vodafone. The company also surpassed 230,000 active users and $40 million in annual recurring revenue. Its hybrid design lets technical teams code complex logic while business experts configure visual workflows, making AI implementation faster across departments.

Investor participation

The n8n orchestration funding round was co-led by Accel and NVentures, Nvidia’s venture capital arm. Nvidia’s participation aligns the company with the broader GPU ecosystem and supports the infrastructure layer of enterprise AI deployment. NVentures’ investment marks a continued expansion of Nvidia’s interest in software orchestration and agentic automation platforms.

Accel, which has previously backed enterprise software leaders such as Slack and Atlassian, reinforced its commitment to workflow and automation software through this round. Together, these investors are positioning n8n to bridge the operational gap between AI model development and enterprise-scale execution.

Platform architecture

n8n’s orchestration engine connects data sources and applications like Google Docs and Slack into unified workflows that automate repetitive processes. The platform’s drag-and-drop system allows enterprises to create multistep automations without heavy engineering overhead. Its architecture embeds AI models directly within workflow logic, enabling businesses to create adaptive, self-improving automation layers rather than static task pipelines.

Oberhauser stated that “technical builders handle architecture whilst domain experts configure and refine,” describing the company’s focus on coordination between engineers and operators. This balance between low-code accessibility and high-code flexibility has been key to its enterprise traction.

Market environment

The orchestration sector is becoming a crucial segment of the AI software market as organizations seek to integrate models into production. Competitors such as Zapier, Make, and Cognigy focus on automation, but n8n differentiates itself with deeper AI embedding and enterprise-grade customization. Its orchestration-first framework is attracting attention from enterprises struggling to move AI projects beyond prototypes.

The latest Series C follows a $60 million Series B in March 2025, bringing total funding to $240 million since 2019. The company’s performance metrics, revenue scale, and strategic investor mix suggest readiness for expanded global rollout and potential partnerships with major cloud providers.

Strategic significance

The n8n orchestration funding round indicates investor prioritization of AI infrastructure that drives measurable operational outcomes. Nvidia’s involvement integrates orchestration into its expanding AI ecosystem, while Accel’s continued support positions n8n as a core enabler of enterprise automation.

For startups and enterprises alike, n8n’s growth points toward a future where orchestration defines the true competitive edge. As organizations shift from experimentation to implementation, flexible orchestration layers like n8n’s will decide which companies can turn AI capability into scalable, repeatable business processes.
